An open circuit test the armature winding terminals remains open by the help of voltmeter and in short circuit test armature winding Raman short circuited by the help of ammeter ammeter has zero internal resistance so it is used to measure the armature current as we know armature winding of synchronous generator is placed on a status quotes and field winding is placed on the armature Core
