The US embassy in Kyiv today has closed due to specific information warning of a potentially significant air attack today. Kyiv and Ukraine fall under air attack every day and the embassy doesn’t close, so this has given a lot of people pause and pits in their stomach. The conclusion many are drawing here is that the US may have intel that Russia plans to bomb the US embassy. And with that, Italy, Spain, and Greece have also closed their embassies. This could be an abundance of caution thing or we could be seeing a major Russian escalation.
