Abbey Road on the River is America's biggest and best Beatles-based music fest, and it features 60s (and even 70s) music beyond The Beatles. In 2016, many artists put together a show as a tribute to The Wrecking Crew by performing hits that were recorded using studio musicians from the Crew. In 2017, the AROTR's own "Wrecking Crew" went beyond old Wrecking Crew songs for a Summer of Love tribute, featuring songs from 1967.
Here, the band did The Who's I Can See For Miles, with lead vocals by Peter Conrad, the only artist who has been at every AROTR since 2002. The backing band included Damian Fanelli (of The Blue Meanies) on lead guitar, Kevin Ashba on keyboard, J.R. McNeely on bass, and Stan Bullock (of Never Mind the Bullocks) on drums.
