Lulajże Jezuniu -Jesus's Lullaby ,traditional Polish Carol known already circa1705 , first printed with modern lyrics in 1767 in Lwow ,Poland., This is favorite Christmas Carol of Fryderyk Chopin .He used its melody in Scherzo in H Minor Op.20 .
Chopin wrote this scherzo with tormented, patriotic emotions after Powstanie Listopadowe -November Uprising 1830-1831 against Russia In 1772, 1793 1795 Sophie Friederike Auguste von Anhalt-Zerbst born in Szczecin and known as Catherina the Great together with her Prussian brother and Austrian relative with help of Polish Benedicts Arnolds attacked Poland- the largest and the most tolerant country in Europe , from 3 sides and took its independence for 123 years and its vast territory away forever . In 1830 November Uprising was provoked by Russia denying two Polish representatives- Bonaventura & Waclaw Niemojewscy to senat after already taking all rights of free speech and press earlier in 1830 .
Chopin's parents and prof. Elsner knowing of upcoming fights send Chopin on tour abroad not knowing that he will not see his homeland again. News about November Uprising took Chopin by surprise when he was already abroad. He wonted to come back and fight against Russia but he was forbidden to cut his tour by his parents and friends. Chopin was torn apart as he written in his letters to his family and friends by anger against Russia injustice , worried about his parents, sisters, friends ,Warsaw, Poland . After Uprising collapse in 1831 he was in state of despair like all Poles .All this emotions are fabric of Scherzo in H Minor and his first Wigilia alone which was Wigilia with fights of November Uprising.
