WINTER WEATHER UPDATE (VIDEO)
Cobb DOT’s day is not over. They continue to treat roads into the night to make sure black ice is not a problem in the morning. Watch the video for the day’s recap. DETAILS:
∙The high winds caused power outages in the county and 27 intersections had blinking traffic signals for a time.
∙Crews handled 14 tree down calls throughout the day. These were the ones on public right of way and impacted roads.
∙Except for those closed by tree and power line issues, all roads remained open throughout the day.
∙Cobb DOT will have a 6 pm - 6 am shift on to deal with calls, and another shift will report at 6 am Monday to deal with any reports of black ice.
