U.S. Secret Service director Kimberly Cheatle testified during a congressional hearing Monday about the agency’s failure to protect presidential nominee Donald Trump during a rally earlier this month. Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, fired multiple shots from a nearby rooftop, striking the former president in the ear and killing at least one civilian.
