DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME
This was supposed to be a quick and simple battery swap video, but ended up being much more involved thanks to my butter fingers. So take a look and learn what NOT to do if you find yourself in my situation.
Google says the Nest Thermostat's batteries aren't replaceable, but we all know that's not necessarily true. If you are going to replace the battery, make sure you get a good quality one (unlike mine) and do a thorough inspection to make sure it's not having any issues.
Don't solder batteries!
