The United States Capitol police officer killed when pro-Trump rioters rampaged through the building has been honoured in a memorial service in Washington DC.
Brian Sicknick suffered fatal injuries during the siege although the cause of death has not publicly been revealed.
Democratic and Republican lawmakers attended the service, paying respects to the officer whose remains lay in honour in the Capitol Rotunda.
