A trio of unpleasant characters are all profiting from killing in The Business of Murder.
The 2017 summer rep production featured: Joey Herzfeld as surly, calculating flat owner Stone; Steve Banks as menacing, and bent, police detective Hallett; and Lesley Ann Acheson as Dee, the manipulative pill-popping, chain-smoking, alcoholic writer/journalist.
Audiences were on the edges of their seats working out the twists in the psychological thriller, with shafts of humour, set in a London flat in the 1980s, directed by Nick Earnshaw.
Here’s Sheringham actor Steve with a sample of his scary dialogue in our series of Revisiting Summer Rep videos from actors recalling and sharing some of their favourite script snippets – to keep our summer drama tradition going online if it cannot happen on stage this year.
We hope you enjoy these flashbacks – each of which ends with a link to the Little Theatre’s donations button on our website. After months of lost income we are seeking people’s help to boost our funds so we can carry on bringing the arts, including future summer seasons, to north Norfolk.
