Even if you’ve never taken the time to listen to this song, you’ve definitely heard it. It became the anthem for Sri Lankan hiking videos for some reason XD.
The arrangement for this song is fairly simple, with some intermediate level left hand - right hand coordination. However, the right hand has a really strong melody to play and just like my other arrangements, it oftentimes has to handle multiple layers of melody together.
The main chorus is played 3 times and the bridge is played 4 times during the song. Each part plays a different variation of each other and the most interesting variation starts with the key change from G to A at 2:48 . After a long musical build-up the chorus and bridge play for the final time near to the end. What follows is a short drop in intensity as the melody becomes much simpler and ends at a fourth interval, giving a sense of longing at the final chord.
Anyways, I really enjoyed making this arrangement. This one took longer than I expected as I was occupied with a lot of uni work. Hope to make more arrangements soon!
