On this beautiful day, I walked a total of 22 kilometers. I started by walking from Engelberg city center to the Fürenalp Cable Car. The prices are 15 Swiss Francs for one way, and 20.5 Swiss Francs for a round trip. I opted for a one-way ticket. I arrived at Fürenalp, above the clouds, in a magnificent landscape. I even managed to capture an avalanche just as I reached the summit. The hike begins here. I spent an hour at the Fürenalp Restaurant, where I enjoyed the 'Osso Bucco', an amazing swiss food (braised knuckle of veal with red wine sauce, mashed potatoes, and vegetables). An exceptionally delicious dish that I highly recommend when you visit the Fürenalp Restaurant (it cost 36 Swiss Francs).

Next, I continued to hiking towards the Blackenalp Hut. The mountain trail follows the Swiss Alps, where you can even catch a glimpse of Mount Titlis. You pass by a Swiss cheese shop, the Alp Hobiel Hotel, and then the trail leads to the Stäuber Waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls I've ever seen. From there, I walked for another hour to reach the Blackenalp Hut (unfortunately, it was closed). However, the feeling of being completely alone in the middle of the Swiss Alps, in such a magnificent landscape and complete silence, was truly exhilarating.

The way back took me back to the Stäuber Waterfall, from there I descended on a path for about an hour to the Stäfeli Restaurant, where I enjoyed two excellent beers and where the lady from the hut taught me a word in German: 'Aschenbecher' 😂. After 15 minutes of walking, I reached the Alpenrösli Restaurant, where I didn't stay (but I think it was closed anyway). From there, it was another 2 hours of walking back to Engelberg. I advise you to bring windproof clothing, and for those who don't plan on stopping at restaurants, make sure to pack food that will give you energy. It's a 22-kilometer hiking trail, and you'll definitely need that energy, especially towards the end when it feels never-ending, and your walking speed drops to a maximum of 2 kilometers per hour. I consider it mandatory to bring sunscreen; the ultraviolet rays are very strong starting from Fürenalp Restaurant and continue beyond the waterfall.
