The Ekiti State governorship election may have come and gone, but the dust about it is yet to settle.
The E-eleven, a group of professionals has since approached the High Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti, seeking to compel the now governor elect Ayo Fayose to explain the circumstances surrounding his impeachment in 2006.
After several weeks of adjournment for the sitting the hearing resumed. Lawyer were in court for the business of the day, not having a glimpse of was to come.
According to eye witnesses, thugs stormed the court, beating people up, leading to the hospitalisation of some persons.
Those beating were taken to a hospital in the state capital Ado Ekiti.
Politics in Ekiti State has often attracted violence, this time around the government is worried lawyers were the target of the latest assault.
A new governor is expected to be sworn in a matter of days in the state, this kind of violent event one hopes will stop so as not to fuel further violence in the state
