On Wednesday, October 11th, the Houston community gathered for Hope Biosciences Research
Foundation (HBRF)’s first “Hope is Here” luncheon, a day to inspire and inform. Earlier this
fall, the FDA gave the green light to a protocol submission from HBRF to administer Hope
Biosciences’ adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (HB-adMSCs) to a young boy living with
a rare form of epilepsy, believed to be the first authorization for use of mesenchymal stem cells
in a patient of this age, with this form of epilepsy. His parents addressed the luncheon, sharing
both professional and personal insight into the experience of walking with a child through
challenging healthcare circumstances. Listen in to her their story, and learn more at hopebio.org.
