There are skin irritants that may cause an allergic reaction such as a latex condom, or just a simple irritation from a new fabric, or a soap, or a laundry detergent you're using.
Then there're infectious causes. Very commonly Vulvavaginal Candidiasis which is known better as yeast infection. Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) and Trichomonas, (Trich) can also present with symptoms of itching. Viruses such as HPV that can cause veneral warts, and even the onset of a Herpes infection can present as vulvavaginal itching.
And then there're skin disorders such as Lichen Schlerosus, Lichen Planus, Psoriasis, infestations by Scabes, or even pubic lice. And more seriously, even vulvar cancers can present in the early stages with the simple symptom of vulva itching.
