A product review of a Kato N Scale Amtrak P42 painted in the "Salutes Our Veterans" paint scheme.

This brand new offering from Kato is made exclusively for Amtrak and is available for $135 at amtrak.com/store. There is an HO version made by Athearn as well for $145. They are DCC ready.

I like this model, it accurately represents the prototype which came out in June 2013 and can be seen traveling in the northeast corridor of the US.
