Mistakes when learning Swedish are bound to happen. The best you can do is find the fun part of those mistakes.
In this video we take a look at the concept of “särskrivning”, a pet peeve of most Swedes. But at the same time something that most Swedes are guilty of doing. So what is “särskrivning”? Well, it’s basically when you write a word that’s supposed to be compounded (sammansata ord), but instead write out the words seperately. When doing this, you can get very funny and unexpected meanings to what you were trying to say originally. Some examples of this is what we bring up in this video.
