Brock Turner, widely known as the 'Stanford Rapist,' was convicted of sexual assault, and yet he only served 3 months of jail time. This lenient sentence has outraged many, and public opinion around the case has been harsh against both Brock Tuner and the judge who sentenced him.
However, that's not enough. We need to change the law, too — as California has already taken steps toward doing. Justice for victims of sexual assault is justice for everyone.
