Tarquin Boat Company, have been building Trader boats for over 30 years, until in late 2009 they stopped trading due to financial reasons. They where built in Taiwan, to a very high quality, so don't normally have any major build related issues, other than the passing of time that is common on these older boats. Trader are well know as live-abroads and long range boats, capable of taking their owners, pretty much where ever they want to go in the world.
Large heavy boats, with solid construction, and huge internal space, make them perfect to live on, or for longer family trips. Often built with a large aft cabin and sometimes with an aft deck hard top, (that could store a tender) that can be enclosed to increase the internal volume of these boats. This large aft deck blended into the open fly bridge or upper helm, to just increase the overwhelming space these boats have. In their day it was not uncommon for a Trader to have close to twice the internal living space of anything else in it's class.
Never built for speed, they normally had two large engines, (this one has V8 Cats) that would run at slower speeds, giving a quiet comfortable cruise, around the 10-14 knot mark.
Sold, reliable, space for mile crushing is what comes to mind with these Traders, and as the name suggest, following the Trade Routes around the world.
