In this video I will show you how to make a simple and delicious semolina pudding. It is suitable as a sweet breakfast or dessert.
*Ingredients:*
• Semolina - 40 grams (1/3 cup)
• Milk - 200 ml (~3/4 cup)
• 1 large egg
• Sugar - 1 tbsp (10-13 grams)
• Salt - 1 pinch
• Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
• Cinnamon - 1 stick
• Butter - 5-8 grams (1 tsp)
*Cooking method:*
1.Pour the milk into a saucepan, add the sugar, salt, vanilla and cinnamon stick (you can vary the amount of these ingredients). Warm it up. When the milk begins to boil, reduce the heat and add semolina, stirring constantly.
2. Cook for 2-3 minutes, continuing to stir periodically. When it thickens, turn off the heat, cover and leave to cool to room temperature.
3. Separate the egg white from the yolk and whisk it into a steady foam.
4. When the porridge, which was prepared in the second step, has cooled, add the yolk to it and mix well. Then little by little add the whipped white and stir gently with a spatula.
5. Heat the oven to 200°C (390°F). Grease a baking dish with butter and place the mixture in it. Place in baking dish for ~20 minutes. Baking time depends on the size of the baking pan. The larger the pan, the longer it needs to bake.
6. You can check readiness by looking for a toothpick. If you poke it and there is nothing left on it, the pudding is ready. Serve with any topping, hot or cold.
