In mid 2020, YouTube changed its Terms of Service and started placing YouTube Ads On Non-monetized Channels | Videos.

The move had made lots of non-monetized channels upset, failing to understand that YouTube can do whatever it wants, considering how YouTubers can upload their videos on YouTube for free.

YouTube placing ads on non-monetized channels is a good thing because we get to see the types of ads they run along our YouTube videos.

Unfortunately, the non-monetized channels do not receive any ad revenue from the ads.
