A 7.0 magnitude earthquake rocked buildings and swayed trees in Anchorage, Alaska on Friday morning. A tsunami warning for the state was initially issued then cancelled. At least eight aftershocks have rippled through the city after the earthquake hit at 8.29am, the largest one measuring 5.8 magnitude in Anchorage.The White House said President Trump, who is in Argentina for the G20 Summit, has been briefed on the quake. He later tweeted: 'To the Great people of Alaska. You have been hit hard by a "big one."' Alaska Governor Bill Walker has declared a state of emergency. Alaska averages 40,000 earthquakes per year, which is more large quakes than the other 49 states of the U.S. combined.
