Sacramento is home to many people with ties to Ukraine who are in contact with loved ones fleeing the war zone. Salim Salim moved to Sacramento nine years ago and became a United States citizen. Now he’s working to help his Ukrainian fiancée, who escaped the violence in her country to Poland.
