Nasa's Maven spacecraft enters into the orbit of Mars after a 10-month, 442 million-mile journey. Scientists confirmed that the Maven science vessel will now be able to beam back data after the mission successfully place it into orbit. The $671 million (£412 million) spacecraft will conduct its observations from orbit, and is not meant to land on the Red Planet. Report by Sarah Kerr.
