I'm on the Yorkshire coast to photograph seabirds. The idea today is to use the strong wind to get birds flapping as they come into land - and hanging, almost motionless, in the breeze. I didn't get the shots I had envisaged, but came away with a lovely image of a pair of Fulmars that were skirting the cliff tops. Not bad considering the tough conditions! Feel free to add a comment, or tell me your experiences photographing seabirds. I'm using my Canon 1DX and shooting hand-held with a Canon EF 300mm f4 lens - it's the very old version of this lens, with no IS - at times I used the Canon 1.4x Extender for more reach.
Filmed with Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX500.
Equipment: Canon 1DX Mark i, Canon 300mm f4 lens (non IS), Canon mark iii 1.4 extender, Induro CT404 tripod, MoVO GH700 gimbal.
