🏀 Ragi/Nachni Energy Balls - ideal 12+ mo olds
Ingredients
- Ragi flour 2cup
- Almonds 15
- Roasted chana dal 1/4th cup
- White or black Sesame seeds(til) 1Tbsp
- Jaggery powder 1cup
- Desiccated Coconut 1/2 cup
- Ghee 5 Tbsp
- Cardamom powder of 5-7 buds
Procedure
- dry roast all ingredients except ghee and jaggery.
- When G and Jagia combined well, switch off the flame and slowly add the dry ingredients and keep mixing till all the items are well combined.
- You can add some card pods to the mixture as well.
- the mixture cool down, but start making balls when the mixture is warm enough for you to hold.
- serve the super nutritious and delicious ragi balls in snacks for your toddler
Notes
- Dry roast ragi well, else the balls may taste and smell raw.
- You can add dates powder instead of jaggery.
- Switch off flame before adding jaggery to ghee. Continue adding other items , without any heat.
- Roast coconut with all other items. I missed it hence added later.
- You can use any non stick/earthen pan or kadai, I used what was available at that moment.
