Be Fair Be Vegan is an amazing marketing campaign happening in New York City through September 4th, 2016. Huge slideshow billboards, one in Times Square and the other at the Javits Center, depict sweet, beautiful images of animals accompanied by questions that draw the viewer in.
With so few words, this campaign says so much. It's powerful and provocative without being graphic.
I was so excited to see the billboard in Times Square. It's truly spectacular. I've been a NYC resident for 10+ years and yet I stood there like a tourist looking up in a daze, in awe, taking it all in. Most uncharacteristically not paying attention to my surroundings, I'm surprised I didn't get pick pocketed or run over.
If you can get to the city, the sign is right above the Good Morning America billboard in Times Square. The exact location is 1500 Broadway which is the corner of44th Street and Broadway (southeast side of the street).
Veganism is about Compassion
The purpose of the Be Fair Be Vegan campaign is to draw attention to the plight of animals, exposing the faces that illustrate the feelings of the animals we use for food, clothing, research and entertainment. In opening people's hearts and minds, the ultimate purpose is that behaviors will change for the better, for the animals. The campaign calls for us to join together to elevate our collective consciousness and expand the circle of compassion, to be kind, to be vegan.
In addition to the motion billboard, there are posters all over the city.
