During this IISS Raffles Lecture, Foreign Minister of Sweden Maria Malmer Stenergard discussed Sweden’s shifting policy approach towards the Indo-Pacific against a backdrop of global turbulence, and the opportunities ahead for cross-regional collaboration including through Sweden’s recently released national defence policy direction for cooperation with countries in the Indo-Pacific.

The lecture took place in Singapore on Wednesday 20 November 2024 at Raffles Hotel. Organised by IISS–Asia, the IISS Raffles Lecture series invites major figures in Asian and global affairs to Singapore to discuss important developments in the Asia-Pacific region. Held in the historic Raffles Hotel, the lectures convene an audience of prominent business leaders, diplomats and government officials along with experts in international affairs.
