The story: Jesus shared his Last Supper with his disciples. He takes on the role of a servant, washing his disciples’ feet, and informs his disciples that one of them will betray him. Jesus gives us the Sacrament of the Eucharist and commands us to do this in remembrance of him.

After supper Jesus and disciples go out to the Garden of Gethsemane where he is betrayed. He is led away to be interrogated by the Chief Priests throughout the night.

Read: St Mark 14:12-72.

The place: The church represents the Upper Room, where the Last Supper took place, and the Garden of Gethsemane.

What is special to this night that happens during the Eucharist:

Washing of Feet. During the Eucharist there will be the opportunity to wash the feet of someone in your house or your own feet.

Gethsemane Watch. Jesus asked his disciples to keep watch while he prayed so we keep at watch in our homes for an hour or more up to midnight.
