Considered one of the toughest hikes in North Carolina and apparently nicknamed the "Death March", I knew I had to check out this trail. It started out brownbut quickly turned green as I headed up the mountain. The beautiful ridgewalk led to the highest point east of the Mississippi river. Even in February, this hike turned out to be a beautiful challenge.
