We're here at Ao Po Marina for the opening of the Phang-Nga Bay Regatta. Let's go see some yachties.
On Monday 26th of January, a registration and opening party for the 2009 Phang-Nga Bay Regatta was held at Ao Po Grand Marina by the Regatta organizers. I took the opportunity to meet and chat with some of the sailors while their yachts were moored at the marina before they departed the next day for the four day regatta. The party was full of sailors and excellent food. They seemed to enjoy their evening. After the briefings from organizers for the skippers or captains of each yacht, I chatted to Bob McIntyre, Ray Roberts, Tord Lissborg and Shirley Lissborg about their passion for sailing and the regattas route for the 4 day trip:
We also talked a bit about personal feelings with Todd and Shirley, a couple of Honeymooners:
Wasnt that so romantic? Thats what life on the ocean wave and Phang-Nga bay does to you.
Those yachts are beautiful arent they? I wish I could own one. Im Zenniesha, reporting from the Marina.
