The biodiversity and geodiversity of these islands are elements of our identity, a heritage which requires a careful, permanent and sustainable management so that nothing is lost and it can be a valuable legacy for future generations.
To preserve such precious natural treasure, the Azores Nature Parks were created in every island of the Archipelago. This structure is a territory management tool oriented to the conservation and sustainable use of its natural resources, in order to improve tourism and well-being of populations.
