As part of Ford’s commitment to offer 14 electrified vehicles by 2020, the Kuga is available with three hybrid options: A Plug-in Hybrid, EcoBlue Hybrid, and from late 2020, a Full Hybrid will complete the trio. Ford’s advanced hybrid technology is designed to deliver a cleaner, quieter, more sophisticated approach to SUV driving.

Equally suited to congested city streets and winding country roads. Ford Kuga’s advanced Plug-in Hybrid technology combines a battery powered electric motor with its 2.5-litre Duratec petrol engine – delivering a combined Hybrid power output of 225 PS, together with outstanding fuel consumption and CO2 emissions figures of just 26g CO2/km (NEDC).

A choice of four electric vehicle (EV) modes means you can decide whether to run on power from the electric motor (EV Now), the petrol engine (EV Later), via a combination of both (EV Auto), or use the engine to recharge the Hybrid battery while you drive (EV Charge). So, you can make easy work of any journey, while keeping your city driving clean, quiet and refined.

The All-New Kuga Plug-in Hybrid comes with two standard charging cables: one for regular home charging, and another for public charging stations.

Want to make charging your Plug-in Hybrid at home as fast as possible? With the help of one of our expert installation partners, you can install a Ford Wall-Box at home as an optional accessory. Capable of charging your Kuga from 0-100% in under 3.5 hours, the Ford Wall-Box offers much faster charging times than a conventional plug socket.

When you’re driving, a combination of regenerative braking and power drawn from the engine helps replenish the battery. And if you need to recharge on-the-go, you can easily use an ever-growing network of public charging stations too.

When you stop at traffic lights or your vehicle is idling in a queue, this technology can automatically switch off the engine, while still supplying power to the essentials. When you're ready to move, just depress the clutch and select first gear as usual, or press the accelerator on an automatic vehicle, and the system seamlessly restarts. Auto-Start-Stop is particularly effective in town and city streets, where it can cut fuel consumption by up to 10% (urban cycle).

For models with automatic transmission, Kuga’s Rotary Gear Shift Dial gives you complete control of the advanced 8-speed gearbox – allowing you to seamlessly select gears with the simple twist of the dial. While replacing the conventional gear leaver frees up additional space for a cleaner, more refined interior design.

Delivering an impressive towing capacity of up to 2,100 kg with the 2.0-litre diesel engine, and 1,200 kg with the Plug-in Hybrid. The All-New Ford Kuga’s dynamic interior design gives you the ultimate freedom to adapt to every journey. Need more boot-space for a big trip or prefer the luxury of extra leg-room in the back? The flexible rear seating slides forward or backward to suit your needs, increasing the rear storage capacity by 67-Litres (or a total of up to 645 Litres of rear storage) when forward – so you’ll have no trouble packing anything you need.

The clean, uncluttered design of Kuga’s interior creates plenty of useful stowage space throughout the cabin. The large media bin in the centre console has enough room for even the biggest smartphones. There are large cup-holders for the driver and passenger, and even the doors are designed to maximise space.

The optional, electrically-operated retractable tow bar can be manually stowed out of sight when not needed. Release it at the touch of a button, then retract it with a swift and easy action. An optional fully detachable tow bar is also available.

Ford Co-Pilot 360 combines a range of technologies that, together, work to make your driving experience more comfortable and enjoyable. Adaptive Cruise Control automatically adjusts your speed based on the vehicle ahead.
