A fantastic scene at Crewe for A2 60532 Blue Peter as the loco makes it return to revenue service with a Saphos Trains 'Christmas White Rose' working to York.

See the loco exit Crewe Holding Sidings, before making it's way into platform 10 via CE142 and the Chester line to await the arrival of the inbound stock under the supervision of 87002.

The A2 then makes it's way to the head of the coaching stock amidst very steamy scenes on a freezing cold winters morning.

The moment arrives as Blue Peter sees a green signal off platform 12 to start the journey across the pennines to York.
