Didn't get out until 3pm so only had time for a short video and couldn't go too far. Decided to visit one floor of Cookes level in Maenofferen to show you the tunnels created using Hunter & Cookes tunnel boring machine from 1860. This machine was ahead of its time, but wasn't used down the mines because compared to gunpowder and manpower, was a bit too slow.
