WA Premier Mark McGowan announced the state had recorded no new cases of community transmission as he touted the ‘Roll Up For WA’ advertising campaign to encourage vaccination.
“Getting West Australians and Australians more generally vaccinated is incredibly important for the health and wellbeing of all Australians,” he said.
“In order to encourage that, we’re now launching our major campaign to get West Australians vaccinated.
“The Roll Up For WA campaign is about to be launched, it will have radio, TV, online, other advertisements to encourage West Australians to get vaccinated.
“The key to protecting yourself and your family and your community’s health is to get vaccinated, so that’s what this campaign is about”.
Mr McGowan said as of May 3 over 50s will be able to receive the vaccine at vaccination clinics while eligible GPs will be able to vaccinate over 50s from May 17.
