The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 takes place in the Mediterranean Conference Centre (MCC) in Valletta, Malta on Sunday, 20 November 2016. A total of 17 countries are participating: Albania, Armenia, Australia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Cyprus, FYRO Macedonia, Georgia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Malta, Poland, Russia, Serbia, The Netherlands and Ukraine. The Delegations and many International Media are in Valletta, Malta to enjoy the biggest annual European music event for children. From the official welcoming ceremony onwards, everyone is focussed on not only delivering a good individual performance, but also to promoting the values in this year’s Junior Eurovision logo #Embrace.
When they aren’t busy rehearsing, the youngsters have had the opportunity to discover some of the sites and get to know some of the people from historic Malta.
