Footage of two 8-car R160A (M) trains stopping at 72nd Street on the 2nd Avenue Line. Due to trackwork on the Canarsie line, (L) train service was suspended west of Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues. Shuttle buses and the M14 SBS provided intra-borough replacements in Brooklyn and Manhattan, respectively. In its place, the (M) was also extended from Essex Street to 96th Street - 2nd Avenue. The extended service operated every 12 minutes from 6 - 12 AM on Saturday, and 8 AM - 9 PM on Sundays.
