Claimants opposed to Te Ture Whenua Māori reforms are now heading to the United Nations in a bid to stop the amended bill being passed. They say all legal avenues here are exhausted but believe changes to the law which governs Māori land breaches the treaty and the declaration of rights of indigenous peoples.
