In case you missed it, our Wonders of the Mekong project team recently rescued a giant freshwater stingray after it was accidentally caught on a fisherman's hook in the Mekong River. Giant freshwater stingrays are endangered, along with many other "mega" fish that live in the Mekong River. It is rare to see giant stingrays or mega fish because they spend the majority of their time in deep pools, unique spaces in the Mekong River that can extend to depths down to 250 feet (75 meters).
