This walkthrough of Dimitri in Sly 2: Band of Thieves will help you defeat the dastardly lizard and steal his most prized possession. Dimitri's attacks can do a decent amount of damage, but they're not too tough to avoid, so keep out of harm's way, get in close, and attack him when you get the chance. When Dimitri's done, you can head out in search of All Clues.

After some opening quips, it's time to take on Dimitri. He'll run around behind you, slashing at the barrels of toxic sludge strewn throughout the area. Don't get too close when it slops out, or it will deal damage. Dimitri also likes to shoot at you from a distance, so use the many pillars here to block these shots, always keeping them between you and the rampaging reptile. In order to defeat Dimitri, you'll have to deal a lot of damage to him, by slashing at him with your cane. You're under no time limit, so there's no need to rush. Take your damage when and where you can, then back off, dodging Dimitri's dangerous attacks. Slip in behind him when you can, deal more damage, then get away before he can return the favor. Keep up the same basic strategy, slashing, withdrawing, then slashing again, until you've defeated him, and regained the target you've been working toward all this time.
