Today I thought I would tell you something about the Engels E.4 I built, the reproduction of the Fokker E.III from 1916.
The airplane is one of 3 built. It is airworthy and true to the original down to the engine and wing twist.
My drawings are mainly based on the measurement of the last surviving example of this type, which is now in the Science Museum in London. I was able to measure and photograph it in detail there in the 1980s.
Of the three airplanes built, one belongs to me and two others were commissioned work for TVAL in New Zealand.
All three airplanes are now flying.
Thousands of photos of the construction will be available on the Patreon page of my Museum of Aircraft Technology. Take a look if you are interested in the aircraft and its technology.
