While traveling in Spain, I experienced the flamenco culture of guitar, dance and singing in Granada, Seville, Malaga and Cartagena. I embraced elements of my experiences and created my own style of music that takes ideas from different cultures. On my last travel I met a famous guitar maker- Jose Antonio Villalba, in Cartagena, and purchased one of his beautiful flamenco guitars. We enjoyed music, Spanish wine and delicacies in the historic city of Cartagena with my new priced guitar in hand.
I am also a fine artist and designer and create my own covers and promotional materials.
Employing an array of multi media, I build the final work in a coordinated harmony of saturated color and texture. “It is my desire to show the differences and beauty that lie within each culture and to emphasize the importance of preserving original cultural heritage and way of life.”
While living in Germany, I was a member of the Artist Society Rheinland Pfalz and studied with teachers trained at the Bauhaus School of Design, Berlin, Germany. I have exhibited in Germany, Holland, France and USA.
I play all the instruments on this track. I also did the recording, mixing and mastering as well as all the artwork, photography and video.
