This video explains how to configure High key and Note limit settings in Yamaha style creator. This is used to control the octave of the patterns in the style tracks.

When playing the styles, some keys play the chords in a lower octave. This is because of the parameter in the High key setting. We can modify it to control the octave of pattern in the tracks.

Using these style editing techniques for Yamaha keyboards, the accompaniment patterns can be refined to have smooth chord changes.

This video is made using the SX 900 style creator. The same options can be used in Genos style creator and other PSR and tyros models as well.
