Cone snail in maldives. i have spotted a large population of cone snails in a popular beach in male' (raasfanu) in very shallow water, where morst people walk barefoot . These cone snails are part of the fauna of the indo pacific waters, thus Maldives. They are extremely poisonous and can be deadly in few minutes after poison injection . I spotted them also in vilimale'. Luckily, it is also easy to avoid being stung just by wearing proper swimming shoes. So protect yourself and your children.
