🎙️ About the Speakers:
Drs. Albert Salman, a Dutch sustainable tourism expert, has a solid academic foundation in coastal ecology and environmental science. In 1989, he assumed the role of the inaugural director of the European Coastal Union (EUCC). He was pivotal in establishing the prestigious QualityCoast Awards program in 2007 and the GSTR database. Later, he founded the widely acclaimed Green Destinations initiative, encompassing the Green Destinations Awards & Certification Program, Sustainable Destinations Top 100, Global Leaders initiative, Good Travel Guide, and Good Travel Program.

Jana Apih is an experienced entrepreneur with a strong background in marketing, strategic planning, and project management. Throughout her career, she has played pivotal roles in notable entities within the travel industry, including the Slovenian Tourist Board and the travel agency Globtour. Jana has a proven track record in brand development, strategic marketing, and business development. Presently, she leads the Institute Factory of Sustainable Tourism, GoodPlace, focusing on the development of the national certificate program, Slovenia Green. 2016, she co-founded GoodPlace, a travel agency emphasising green and active travel experiences. With her expertise in digital strategy, search engine optimisation, and marketing management, Jana is dedicated to advancing sustainable tourism and promoting eco-conscious travel practices.

The Green Destinations 2023 Conference, hosted in the 2023 European Green Capital of Tallinn, has been a remarkable platform for industry stakeholders to converge, exchange ideas, and unveil sustainable solutions and best practices. With contributions from over 55 speakers representing diverse corners of the world, this conference has truly enriched our knowledge base.
