After lots of testing and hard work to ensure these R211A subway cars are fully operational, they entered service on the A line for the first time on Friday, March 10th, 2023, starting from 207 St in Manhattan all the way up to the Far Rockaway Mott Avenue station in Queens. The first trip began from there at 2 pm earlier today.

I can’t wait to see what the future holds for these subway cars. If 30-day testing is successful, the MTA is going to order more of these trains (about 500+ additional trains) and will be delivered between 2023 and 2025. Here's an official MTA article about the new R211 subway cars: [ Ссылка ]
