Hello everybody, today we are going to unbox and review a powerful 1200W Philips juicer. This model is HR1922 and it supports many useful features like cleaning it with water while it is still running, it has big feeding tube so you can put the fruits without the need of cutting it into smaller pieces. Another very useful option on this model is that you can choose two options and that is to get the juice with high or low presence of fibers in the juice. Let`s unbox it now and see what comes in the box.
The first thing you will find inside is the instruction manual which contains some very nice recipes ideas to get you started. You can see these and many more recipes by downloading the Philips Healthy Drinks app from the google play or app store.
The rest of the items are parts of the juicer or plastic bottle to store the juice. Here you can see two main options to extract the juice and we will speak more about them in a second. Before assembling the juicer for the first time, I recommend washing all washable items.
Assembling the juicer is very straight forward because each piece fits perfectly on its place and if you put it wrongly, it will not fit, and you cannot close it completely. So, just follow this order and once you are done it will click perfectly and you are ready to use it. As you can see you can also adjust this pipe and move it for 90 degrees so it will not drop any additional juice after you remove the bottle.
Of course, the first thing we need to try is for the orange juice. We pealed the oranges since their peel is bitter and if you leave it your juice will not taste good at all. We also put a bit of lemon and ginger and let`s see how it turned out.
As you can see here we selected option 1 when we turned on the juicer so that means that the juice will come out more clear with fewer fibers. Also, as you can see we didn`t remove the pits from the oranges and if you have the time it is better to remove them as the taste of your juice will be even better. Here you can see that the feeding tube is very large and this comes very useful as you don`t need to cut the fruits into smaller pieces. Therefore, in this model, you can easily put the whole apples or oranges. One additional advantage is that you can directly put water inside it so this will help into pre-cleaning the juicer and also you extract the very last bits of the juice left. You don`t need to remove this pipe as I did in the video as it has its opening where you can put water so it will go slowly in the juicer and not directly as I did here.
Now let`s open it and see what is left inside. All these top parts you can wash directly under the water and this is the only thing you will be washing so it is very simple for cleaning. In this metal mesh part, you can see small fibers remaining and this is because we choose option 1. You can see here the results of how the juice is very clear with option 1. Otherwise, on this second video, you can see how the juice looks if we choose option two with more fiber.
Finally, the moment for tasting the juice has come and we will let our little girl taste it. Note that we did not add any additional sugar and as you can recall we added a bit of lemon and ginger so usually the kids will not like that option as they are used to sweet juices but as you can see here she really liked it as it is 100% natural.
