Aloo Gosht Recipe

Aloo Gosht
Ingredients:
300g Mutton
3tbsp Oil
1/2tsp Cumin Seeds
Whole Spices - 1 Bay Leaf, 1 Cinnamon, 3 Cardamom, 3 Cloves, 1 Black Cardamom, 6 - 7 Black Pepper Corns
1 Onion (sliced)
1/2tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
1/4tsp Turmeric Powder
1tsp K. Red Chilli Powder
1/2tbsp Coriander Powder
1tsp Salt or as per taste
1 Tomato
2tbsp Beaten Curd
Ground Birista of 1 onion (I forgot to grind it which made the onion float on top)
2 Chillies
1 Big Potato
1.5 Cups Water
1/4tsp Garam Masala
1/4tsp Salt
1/2tsp Garam Masala
Method:
1. Fry 1 onion till light golden brown and grind to a coarse paste.
2. Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and whole spices.
3. Add sliced onions. Cook till translucent.
4. Add mutton. Mix well and cook for 3 - 4 mins.
5. Add turmeric, red chilli, coriander, cumin powders and salt. Mix well. Bhuno for 5 - 7 mins.
6. Add tomato. Cook till soft.
7. Add beaten curd, ground birista, slitted chillies and potato. Mix well and cook for 2 mins.
8. Add water, salt and garam masala. Mix well & bring to a boil.
9. Close cooker lid and take 4 - 5 whistles.
10. Serve with rice or roti.
