African-American poet and hip hop lyricist Gina Loring, in celebration of both African-American History Month and Women's History Month, visited Tunisia to share poetry and creative writing as a means of self expression with Tunisian youth. Gina performed at universities and at Club Tahar Haddad, and conducted workshops in Sfax and Tunis with hundreds of Tunisian high school and university students.

One workshop participant said, "This is first time that I felt that music, poetry, and rap can truly make people feel what you are talking about."
