Singer/songwriter, music producer, and arranger Barry White was known to be a very suave singer with a touch of sensuality in his vocals and the music he composed is equally so. With Barry’s vocals & music, you’re getting two for the price of one in sensuality soul. The music of “Midnight and You, which begins with Barry’s deep bass vocal introduction, has to be THE MOST sensual piece written by Barry. Sadly, he went to the heavens in July 2003; however, the Love Songs by Barry White album was released in Feb 2003 [shortly before his death]. It contains some selective choice tracks, including this feature track, from some of the albums in his discography.

Here is some info you may not have known about Barry White. His birth name was Barry Eugene Carter and his top music influences were Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Elvis Presley, and Marvin Gaye [among a few]. He made several records in the 1960s, formed the vocal trio female group Love Unlimited in 1969, as well as, composed the music for the Unlimited Love Orchestra. A very successful solo artist in the 1970s, Barry recorded smooth R&B hits like “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love Babe”; “Never Never Gonna Give You Up”; “I’m Gonna Love You Just a Little Bit More Baby”; and Your Sweetness is my Weakness and he carried that success up until his death. Everyone into music knowns that his discography is massive and fitting for a music Icon, such as he was. After participating in music producer Quincy Jones’ project [Back on the Block] with his taunting voice in the sensual “The Secret Garden”, Barry White released several more albums in the 90s which put him back at the top of the Billboard R&B charts. His final album [released in 1999] is “Staying Power”. A three time Grammy Award winner, Barry White had achieved 106 gold albums worldwide with record sales in excess of 100 million. He is regarded as one of the world’s “best-selling Artist of all time”.
